Competition Clutch Ultra Lightweight Steel Flywheels are designed for high-performance street, track, and racing applications where fast engine response, quick acceleration, and reduced rotating mass are essential. Manufactured from one-piece 4140 forged steel, these lightweight performance flywheels provide the strength and durability needed for demanding applications while reducing rotational weight. The ultra-lightweight design helps the engine rev faster and respond more quickly to throttle input by reducing rotational mass compared to heavier OEM-style flywheels. This makes Competition Clutch Ultra Lightweight Steel Flywheels an excellent upgrade for performance vehicles, especially turbocharged, supercharged, and other forced induction builds using aggressive performance clutch systems.Competition Clutch engineers these flywheels to work with a wide range of high-performance clutch applications. Depending on the vehicle and application, flywheel weights typically range from 8 to 18 pounds, allowing enthusiasts to choose the appropriate combination of strength, weight, and engine response for their build.
